You can create a dataset in two ways :
- The recommended way is by clicking on create dataset from the list of datasets. This opens a popup. Then, you can set up the name of the dataset, its type out of the 6 current possible types (AUDIO, FRAME, IMAGE, PDF, TEXT, VIDEO). Once this type field is filled, you can see the list of formats that are readable by Kili for that data type. Finally, you can add data : see how/what here. Once you have added data, you cannot change the type of the dataset. When you are finished with importing data, you have to press "Save" to validate the dataset. This will redirect you to the dataset. At any point in the process, you can cancel the creation of the dataset by clicking outside the popup.
- The other way to create a dataset is by creating a project, then adding assets directly to the project. This will automatically create a dataset linked to the project. As you add data to the project, this data is imported into the dataset.
